From Printing World I went on to become editor of two of the UK’s leading monthly print titles and in 1989 ‘jumped the fence’ with a move into PR, joining a small company in Surrey that would become one of Europe’s most successful specialist graphic arts media relations companies. During 21 years I ran or was involved in every imaginable PR activity for clients, from start-up businesses to major corporations, operating in the UK or worldwide.   

Today, I work from home and provide a specialist writing/advice service for people involved in the graphic arts market, whether they require a press release to launch a product, a feature article on a customer installation or copy for a newsletter, brochure, website, leaflet, flyer ...

Trouble Shooting For Printers

In 1988, while editor of Inplant & Instant Printer, I had the idea of producing a text book that provided solutions to everyday problems encountered by printers in their work. Two years later, having interviewed more than forty experts in various print related fields, Trouble Shooting For Printers was published. It received coverage and comment throughout the European graphic arts media, who all seemed to think that such a book should have been written long before.  Though out of date, I am now expecting demand for this title to surpass all my wildest expectations…
